The island is going through a major make-over; new housing is springing up and new people are arriving all the time.
Our housing situation is still very difficult as many people are still looking for adequate housing.Some have given up looking for places and have moved back to the mainland.
As far as the church, we are in a transition regarding where the Lord is leading us. It seems as if we need to seriously look at increasing our "reach" into this community as there are more opportunities to serve the people!
We are planning for a "church meeting" for sometime in June to plan for the rest of the year. New leaders will be installed, new teams will be added. All exciting stuff for our slowly growing church body.
Our building is also going through a major transition. Right now we are renovating parts of it (see Building Needs). We are praying for funds and workers as we move towards renovate the entire building; many other possibilities just around the corner!
